Radical Challenge
It has been two weeks since we arrived home from the Philippines. God is still working and moving in our hearts. As a way to debrief from the trip, the team is reading a book by David Platt, “Radical: Taking back your faith from the American Dream”. Here is the link to the books website – http://www.radicalthebook.com/. This book will challenge us to not go back to the way we were before the trip.
Join us in this Radical Challenge!

Don’t miss this Sunday!
You are not going to want to miss this Sunday. Our team is very excited to share with you what God did and is doing in their lives. You will hear and see student testimonies, watch a recap video of our time in Philippines and be challenged from the Word of God. Church starts at 9:00AM or 10:45AM.
Be there!!!
Get them something to eat
Jetlag. LBM. Falling asleep sitting up. These are the things that most of us are going through as we try to get back on a schedule. God has done some incredible stuff these past 10 days but it is going to take time for us to process it. In Luke 8:40-56, Jairus comes to Jesus to heal his daughter who was dying and did die. Of course, Jesus does it because He has power over death and sickness. What interested me though was the first thing Jesus did after He raised her to life was to tell someone to give her something to eat (55). Get her something to eat? He just did a miracle and that is the first order of business; not tell everybody or get the local newspaper over here. Just get her something to eat?! Here is the point for us: God did a miracle these last ten days so let your heart take time to process all that God did and get some sleep, food and medicine.
Celebration time!
I can’t believe that we are packing our bags to head home in the morning. These ten days have flown by. We had a great day at Antioch East today. Some of our students help lead worship with Digi, Antioch’s Worship Pastor. Digi is a gifted musician and worship pastor. The students had a blast doing it too. They even lead us in a worship song that Digi had written in Taglog. This afternoon and evening we went to the Aker’s home, where Tammy had a great spread of food; and we celebrated all that God did this week! Many of the Filipino’s that we have served with came to celebrate too. After we ate, we set around a campfire (yes, it was hot but we were already sweating so it was okay!) and shared testimonies of what God did this week. God really moved in the hearts of our students. Many prayers have been answered!
Lord willing in the morning we will post the Father’s Day video and a video blog from Roger and Tammy.
Antioch East
This weekend we get the privilege of worshiping at Antioch East. It is very exciting to be at the church that we, ABBC, had a part in birthing on the other side of the world. Most of this week we had their leadership team with us as we ministered in various places. Many of them sacrificed to spend the week with us to which we are eternally grateful. Our students have grown to love and care for them. Friendships that will last a lifetime have been formed this week. I love God’s idea, the church! It is a beautiful thing how it knows no race or color; only the truth that Christ died and rose again. This is what we celebrate together.
Sight Seeing and Youth Rally
Getting things going early this morning, we are doing a little sight seeing and shopping today. A well-deserved break for our team who has done a great job. Tonight we are having a youth rally at city hall. We are expecting around a 1,000 people there. Here is how I would ask you to pray for the audience: to have ears to hear the Gospel and for order in the crowd. When crowds get this big there is often a lot of distractions with just the noise. Thanks for all your prayers. God is doing amazing things.
